Give to IVC, Support your Senior Neighbors

We hope that you connect with our mission and feel inspired to join us in this journey on behalf of the growing number of elders who need support. As IVC continues to grow, we rely more and more on the generosity of individuals and the community as a whole for support.

The hours of direct service to our care receivers continue to increase steadily year after year. As we reach out to more and more of our elderly and temporarily disabled neighbors in the community we will require more and more funds to continue the kind of consistency and quality of service the community has come to expect.

Planned Giving

In 1997, Joyce Veterane, a medical social worker, was among a handful of islanders who identified a need for “family like” support of seniors and others to help seniors live independently and with dignity at home. In January 2020, Joyce and David Veterane established an endowment for Island Volunteer Caregivers, administered through the Bainbridge Community Foundation. Donating to this endowment with help continue to ensure that Joyce and David's passion and legacy for our elders to live independently will continue on.

At IVC, we are committed to creating a vibrant, connected community where older adults can continue to live independently while feeling supported by caring volunteers so that no one feels alone or isolated. Planned gifts are contributions that you can arrange in the present and are paid out in the future. Planned gifts may include charitable trusts, annuities, and other tools.
