The Heart of Volunteering at IVC
IVC volunteers serve with open hearts and a shared desire to give back to the community. Many of our care receivers we support experience isolation and loneliness, and sometimes an IVC volunteer may be the only person they connect with that week.
Because of this, volunteers often become a meaningful and consistent presence in the lives of the people they support. Through connection, shared activities, and simple acts of kindness, volunteers and care receivers build relationships grounded in trust, empathy, and mutual respect. Many find joy in sharing stories, laughter, and life experiences together.
Volunteer with IVC is not just about providing assistance - it’s about building genuine human connection.
